Wainuiomata is an amazing place to live, learn and thrive!
The Wainuiomata Primary Schools Sports Cluster believe our tamariki should not just agree with that statement, but should personally experience the many different reasons as to why Wainuiomata is an incredible place to live. To help with these experiences and get physically active, we have created our first ever ‘50 things to do in Wainuiomata’ doc
As a primary schools sports cluster we are trying to expand our 2022 programme from not just inter school sport but to include active recreation in order to get more of our students physically active. As we begin to expand our sports cluster programme we thought with many of the mentioned activities being perfect for weekend/ holiday adventures, regardless of the weather we thought we would launch this document across the community ready for the summer of being physically active.
If you would like more detailed information about these activities and other community resources, simply scan the QR Code and you will be taken to our Google Map where you will find the location of these activities. At each location, click on the pin and you will find additional information about that location or a website link for you to browse.
As students complete experiences, students might want to write, take photos, or even create a short movie clip of what they did. You could even make a copy of the Google Map and insert your own photos, clips and write about the adventures that you have- a digital journal. Any way of recording the adventure is a good way.
E tū, e puta, karawhiua!- Get Up, Get Out, Get Active!
